SIR20207 Certificate II in Retail

 

Who would do this course?

This course has been designed for those wanting to pursue a career in retail. Participants may have completed Certificate I in Retail or wish to complete a Certificate III in Retail.
 

What previous experience or knowledge do I need?

You need to have attended Introduction to Computers or have the equivalent level of knowledge.
 

How is the course carried out?

Training is usually carried out in a hands-on environment in small groups. Some self-paced training and some one on one training and assessment may also be required. It is preferable to be working in the retail industry, but if not some work experience will be required.
 

What topics does the course cover?

To gain competency, you will be required to complete 14 units of competency as follows
  • 9 core units
  • 3 Elective Group A units or Elective Group B
  • 2 Elective units
  • All units selected must contribute to and combine to form a work outcome

The course is held at our Landsborough training premises.

 

How long does the course go for?

Length of the course is 16 weeks full time or 16 months part-time.
